Developing a Payer Story for a New Mechanism of Action
With the oncology pipeline replete with new molecules and so much attention on checkpoint inhibitors and targeted therapies, our client was concerned that payers might have difficulty understanding their key message about a potential breakthrough therapy for a small population of high unmet need and significant disease burden. Even more challenging, we needed to package this story into fewer than ten slides with great visuals and robust evidence for every message. We aligned across stakeholders, developed and designed a deck that the payer team was excited to carry, and ensured that it met every requirement for a seamless review, revision, and approval process.
Launching a Market Access Toolkit for a First-in-Class Cell Therapy
Our biopharma client needed to rapidly develop an effective HCP/billing and coding toolkit under tight accelerated approval timelines for their highly complex, first-in-class oncology cell therapy. We sngaged KOL pharmacists and physicians for co-development of reimbursement content, parallelized materials creation and iteration with real-world user feedback, and collaborated closely with legal counsel to streamline MLR review. The result was a comprehensive 5-piece toolkit delivered on time and under budget, including a Billing & Coding Guide, Fact Sheet, Order Sheet, Letter of Medical Necessity, and Letter of Denial Appeal.
Deploying an Outcomes-Based Agreement with Technology and Data Partners
A Fortune 100 pharma company tapped our team to lead the technical execution and adjudication of a Value Based Agreement. We partnered with an innovative technology team to develop dashboards and data tools to track and visualize agreement performance, automate analytics, and help the company advance their value-based pricing strategies. The project was so successful that C-suite leaders used this as a demonstration of the company's tech and market access savvy, and our team was asked to take the same technology to the company's access, brand, digital, and policy teams outside of the United States to assess the company's UK and EU-based Outcomes Based Agreement digital infrastructure needs.
Accelerating Adoption of a New Treatment Paradigm
A leading oncology biopharma needed to drive HCP acceptance for a pair of novel immuno-oncology agents, as lack of familiarity risked hesitancy and slow adoption, particularly among community oncology. We partnered with a national society to deploy unbranded, education-first, peer-to-peer content led by KOL physicians and pahrmacists. Our tailored webinars, conferences, and online educational modules for HCPs resulted in multi-company backing for the society, a sold-out inaugural meeting with more than 400 HCPs in attendance. The biopharma client credited our team for driving adoption and paving the way for their new innovation.
Landscape Search & BD/Corporate Strategy Opportunity Evaluation
A US-based team group sought opportunities in Europe. They needed a comprehensive search and custom-structured database to evaluate the most attractive opportunities according to their partnership and investment criteria. We designed a country-by-country opportunity search methodology for companies and assets, leveraging biotech hub and investment cluster data and local experts. We built profiles of companies and assets, leading to a customized analytics dashboard and toolkit for opportunity evaluation. Our results were a database of 500+ companies and 400+ assets, enabling our client to prioritize investment areas and business cases.
